By Mariam Adeleke Taiwo (Marhearty)
We all seem to be buried in worries.
Laying beneath the sheets of sorries.
Let’s all push forward out lorries.
To make nice cuisine with our curries.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
Every new day come and go.
With pile of garment we need to sow.
But the bitter truth we won’t to know.
With our skills we choose to be low.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
Once and once more we take the load.
Which we can acquire all alone.
Bending over like a toad.
We hop and hope with the loan.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
We look up at the fools.
Who toy all day with the tools.
And drench ourselves in the pool.
Thinking it would keep us cool.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
Let us all to stir awake.
And move our stand from the lake.
Towing away from the flake.
And make a way from the stake.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
Spotty then dirty then hard to look.
Has now become of our nook.
Flinging us all off the hook.
And putting us to the book.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
Placing the mind off the time.
As we seem to have no dime.
Is just a walnut on the lime.
Placing us behind the prime.
My fellow countrymen, let’s get to business
